System requirements:
Once you have downloaded Java and/or Palm Desktop, Install SnowPilot as follows:
- Download the files PC-Pilot.jar (the Desktop application).
- If you are only using SnowPilot on your desktop, skip to #3. There is no need to download the .prc.
- FOR PDA ONLY: If you are using a PDA and have already installed the Palm Desktop, you should now download SnowPilot.prc (the Palm PDA application).
- Install SnowPilot.prc on your PDA with the Palm Desktop software. Under the ‘Hot Sync’ menu go to ‘Install handheld files’.
- Locate the directory that your PDA syncs to, this would by default be /Documents/Palm/, or /Documents/Palmone. Place the file PC-Pilot.jar in this folder.
- Clicking on PC-Pilot.jar starts the desktop application. Make a shortcut to it on your desktop for future use.
- FOR PDA ONLY: Once you have collected data on your PDA and hotsynched, your data will show up on the desktop application.
